Jürgen beginnt seine Kameraausbildung in der Praxis am Filmset.
In mehr als 20 Berufsjahren durchläuft er dabei alle Stationen des Kameradepartments vom Clapper Loader, Focus Puller, Operator bis zum Dop.
Während seiner Zeit als 1. Kamera-Assistent bei zahlreichen Spielfilmproduktionen lernt er von exzellenten Meistern ihres Faches.
(Mitarbeit u.a. bei internationalen Spielfilmproduktionen: „Das Parfum“ / „The International“ von Tom Tykwer, Dokumentarfilme von Thomas Riedelsheimer)
In der 2 jährigen Master Class Kamera (2010-2012) an der Hamburg Media School vertieft er sein Wissen.
(Abschluß Master of Arts / Cinematography, Seminare u.a. bei Michael Ballhaus, Judith Kaufmann, Benedict Neuenfels)
Die in dieser Zeit entstandenen Kurzspielfilme laufen erfolgreich auf internationalen Filmfestivals.
Jürgen lebt mit seiner Familie in Hamburg und arbeitet als Kameramann für Spielfilm, Dokumentarfilm und Werbung.

Jürgen starts his career in cinematography by working on the filmset.
